Escape To Lauderdale-By-The-Sea

We had a chance to escape the Laramie winter for our annual winter trip to Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. We had a great couple of weeks, and would have stayed longer if we didn't need to rescue the dog (Libby) from the kennel. Leslie found time to phone the kids while on the beach.

Glen and Darla Whipple were in Fort Lauderdale for one of Glen's conferences. We convinced the Whips to spend a couple of days with us, dragging them to the beach as ofter as possible. Must have been a tough conference for them as they crashed on the beach.

We decided we ought to get a little bit of work done on the house. We took down a mural that Leslie's grandfather had put up years ago, and painted the wall. It's a good Florida color, and creates a nice hue on the adjacent white walls.

  1. I am bummed that we weren't able to join you guys this year! It looks like it was a lot of fun. That's great you were able to hang with the Whipples for a few days! I guess maybe we can call you guys snowbirds now?? :)

  2. Man, we should have been there with you... too bad a little something (or two little somethings) put a kink in our plans! Fortunately, it looks like you guys managed to have some fun without us there. :)

  3. This retirement life is certainly agreeing with you! It looks like you had a good time, and how fun to meet up with friends! Good job on the wall--I would definitely call that a Florida color.
