69 GTO Convertible Finally Going Back Together
Well, we're finally at that stage where we're starting to put the '69 Goat Convertible back together. The body panels and floors have been beautifully resurrected. Now they've been fitted, and the interior surfaces have been sprayed with that beautiful code 55 - Crystal Turquoise paint.
There is still a lot of work and money to go. I'm sending in the dash for a full restoration to Dashboard Restorations in Washington State. Still gotta send in my steering wheel for the same. I just ordered a ton of final trim parts from Ames Performance in New Hampshire, and have been locating some hard to find parts on ebay. I've found an under dash y-duct to fit the 8-track with no A/C, and some nice rear speaker grills in Canada. I'm still looking for those hard to find parts like an original in dash 10 ohm speaker, 8-track wiring harness, remote mirror, door edge guards, etc.
We're aiming to finish this up by June. The GTO nationals will be in Loveland Colorado in early July. Maybe we can get it judged then.
